In July, 2011, The Hartford Business Journal published an article Can manufacturing be cool again? This article echos the Life Support and Sustainable Living Program's efforts and even features one of the LSSL Programs project teams (the Solo-Transfer Wheelchair project).

The 2011 NSF - funded Engineering Challenge for the 21st Century Summer Teachers Dissemination Workshop was highlighted in www.newlondon.patch.com by Drik Langeveld. The Life Support and Sustainable Living Program was featured as the Advanced Technological Education (ATE) Project of the month for December 2010, in ATE Central Connection, a monthly publication.

There was a Engineering Challenge for the 21st Century Program, comprised of students from the Hartford Public High School's Engineering and Green Technology Academy, held at Capitol Community College from October 18, 2008 through November 15, 2008.  To review some of the comments provided by student participants (click here).

There was a Engineering Challenge for the 21st Century Program held at Manchester Community College from April 14th through 17th 2008, for students from A.I. Prince Technical High SchoolTo review some of the comments provided by student participants (click here).
